My Trip To The Mall: Spaghetti Stirfry story

Few days ago, I remembered that I had a weird craving plus I had little money in my account. I dragged my sister to Market Square in Port Harcourt to buy a waffle maker, getting there it was way past my budget and I really wanted to buy something. I picked a cart, started dumping food stuffs inside, it was when I got to the pay point I noticed I picked ingredients for my perfect low budget spaghetti stirfry. I just shrugged when the pay person said my bill is #4,350….

Let me walk you down my process of getting my breakfast the next day.

Ingredients

1pack spaghetti

Beef or chicken

Spices( chilli, paprika,garlic, oregano,curry,thyme etc)

Veggies (red and yellow bell peppers, onion)

Salt and knor cubes to taste

Groundnut or extra virgin oil

PROCEDURE

Cut your chicken or beef into strips,wash well with salt or vinegar. Prepare your marinade or wet rub using; black pepper, crushed garlic/ginger, salt, knor cube,curry, thyme and little oil. Marinade and let it sit for 30-50minutes.

Cook spaghetti in a boiling water with drop of virgin oil and salt. When its cooked to your texture, drain in a strainer and keep.

In a wok, heat up oil, stir fry garlic, thyme, curry, onions, oregano, add your bell peppers, stir fry for another 2-3minutes for spices to blend well with veggies,remove from wok and set aside.

In the same wok, stir fry your already marinated beef or chicken till its brown (for beef) and grey for chicken in colour. Add your cooked spaghetti, toss into your chicken or beef, add your veggies, taste for salt.. Toss all properly.

Serve with boiled eggs and a cold drink.
